The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features found in its more expensive sibling.
During testing it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to identify your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can select an overall clean that focuses on cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or two detailed maps of your home to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.
This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some other models and can clean up pet hair without difficulty. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better with the next models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is even better because its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than the vibrating pads.
The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable price to pay if you want one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank is larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.
As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving forward.
What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the hidden bin and also washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.
You can also design and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is beneficial for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also comes with more mopping modes and a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of simply following a predetermined route.
The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that robot vacuum cleaner comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are nice to have but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the middle of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open the settings menu in which you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your house. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4% of debris from our test on the hard floor and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It was not as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
