The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
In tests, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to locate your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the click of the button. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models, and it can even pick up pet hair without difficulty. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on higher-end models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.
It's only downside is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.
For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and move on when it encounters one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the hidden bin, as well as washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right for example, a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.
You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo will treat your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my test, picking up debris on both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first go. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It measures over two feet in the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.
Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can manage it even when away from home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which best robot vacuum cleaner for carpet allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a specific route.
The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a host of convenience features that you do not often find on robots in this price. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. Although these features are nice to have however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury which could make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners require.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's one button that basically is a switch for on and off. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the middle of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can alter how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops are efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
